help me...i found this, seems to be a mitsubishi turbo...its in ok condition....maybe i can make use....

I think that's off a GM Typhoon/Cyclone turbo V6 from the early 90's.

Kinda old, but should be plenty big for any sort of turbo M20.

dude that looks like a stock turbo of a mitsu eclipse the 95' gst it looks just like the one we took off from my friends gst it should work on the e30

i found out that its a mitsu td06-20g by looking up that 15253 number and the 79-14300 number (part of 49179-XXXXX)...seems to be some mitsu pn's for it....

seems to be used with some 4.3l truck thing....

how would i be able to determine how much gain i will get by using this with an m20?

btw, Ima noob to turbos....b4 my e30 i had a bmx bike (Well, kart racing don't count). No tranny swap there. Oh and turbo will go on IF its feasible after calculating costs (manifold and blah stuffs), down time, whateverelse that i will soon learn that i need for this project. I guess it would be a good time to fab up a larger exhaust sys and fit that nice hand-me-down borla i have sitting in da garage....

the gain youll get depends on how much boost you run and the size of the turbo. youre probly looking at about $1500-2500 depending on whether you do the work yourself or not.

e30tech.com is really the place to talk about turbos, its kind of a swear word around here.
