    E36 318ti 5 speed on E36 325i motor??

I know this forum caters to mostly E30 chassis but I figure I can ask the question here. If not mods please feel free to delete or move. But here is my question...

    I bought a 95 318ti 5 speed recently and then I bought a 95 325i convertible with a blown transmission for 500.

Could use the 318ti transmission on the 325i motor?

If i can then what clutch and flywheel and pressure plate would I use?

And what drive shaft would I use?

And would the ecm throw a code and not run right?

Yes, trans should work. Depending on which one it is, it may be more or less good.

But as to the rest- do you want a 2.5l ti, (yes, yes you do)
or a working 'vert? (no, no you really don't)

'Cause that determines which driveshaft to use.

You'll want the 2.5l clutch etc setup.

    afaik

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves

the G240 will sit a few degrees off and you'll need the drive shaft from whatever trans you use.

E36 TI uses a getrag 250 just like an e36 with an M50.

Not all some came equipped with G240. I have one that I parted for it, for my last Ti.
