    Progress!!!

I think I finally found my "0" and probably another badge to bring out. Is this something people would want?

I call this my box-o-badges. I got all kinds of good stuff going on. I wont post pics of my nice ones yet but im hoping that by the end of the weekend Ill have something worth posting :)

another project I started a little while ago is my box-o-spacers. I haven't had any time to work them to completion on the lathe yet but when I do and test them out ill prob have these for sale too.

Im not entirely sure what your asking. are you asking for 2 separate pieces. a custom logo badge and a license plate frame? or do you want 1 piece like the photo?

Either way there is no "simple" answer to your question. let me explain...

This is a brand new matchplate we had made up for our open frame. We have 3 different styles because different states require different things. we take this blank match plate and tape on dies that say "penn state" or "breast cancer awareness" and when they come off the line they are one piece. The match plate itself costs about $1200 to get one made. So making a different frame from what we currently offer probably isn't feesible. although I am interested in hearing more about this over sized stuff. If this is common and people would buy them theres a chance we would bring another style of frames out, but it wouldn't happen for a little.

about the badge. This is a fairly complex process as well. the art needs to be drawn in a CAD program and tapered to give it some draft so it will run correct when casting. typically 2 degrees is enough but depending on print quality 5 could be more ideal. This then needs to be sent to the 3d printer. the turbo badge I just got was about $50 to get printed. so what I would need to know on your end is. will you be drawing the artwork or will I? the print cost will stay about the same as long as their isn't a large mass difference in designs. it will also depend on the amount of pieces you want. buying 50 badges will be much cheaper per piece than buying 1-2.

im working on a way to make this process simpler and more affordable but this is all new and has never been done before at my foundry. If you send me the logo youre interested in having made I can give you a better idea on all this. hope I have been helpful.

How much would something like this cost? I would only need a few sets but I would like to make a plate frame for my old GMC which has larger than normal plates, also would maybe like to make some badges, what would something like this with say that skidmark badge cost?

I think we decided that the "I" "is" etc is a separate piece. I'm working on locating as many of these as I can so I can include them in a matching finish. I'm sure I'll come up with something ;)

If you made one that listed as 332i I'd definitely consider one for my sedan
