    New daily driver

Hey guys I nee some advice,
I currently own a 91 m50nv swap and I daily a 94 M edition Miata. I've lately been contemplating an e36 m3. I've found a few great deals and I narrowed it down to two cars. One sold last night. The one I have my eye is on a 95,
It has these mods and recent maintenance

    UUC short shifter kit
Yellow koni shocks on HR springs, with reinforced strut towers
    E39 M5 replica wheels 17x8
half tread on all the tires
Euro floating drilled and slotted rotors w/ fresh akebono ceramic pads and stainless steel braided brake lines
Euro clear corner/side markers and tail lights
    Carbon fiber lightweight spoiler
    DEPO ZKW style glass HIDs
Everything engine related is stock factory air box and stock exhaust (not the UUC in some of the pictures)

    Recently replaced items -

-Bavauto high performance ignition coils and NGK iridium spark plugs with less than 3k miles
-Vanos seals were done less than 1k miles ago, along with the valve cover gasket, and a new Vanos line
    -new timing chain tensioner
    -bmw oil every 3k miles
    -fresh bmw coolant
-Mobil 1 trans and diff fluid refreshed last oil change
-new serpentine and AC belt, and chain tensioner
    -cooling system replaced
-rack and all suspension components in the front

My problem is that it has 200k miles. Everyone in our local BMW groups say don't Dd an e36 m3 cause there nothing but problems. My Miata never gives me any problems. It's clean, but I just want a bit more power and I wouldn't mind backseats.
    Thanks for your time guys!

E36 M3 are nothing but problems? huh? it's basically a regular E36 with a cam and slightly more displacement. as far as M cars go, it's probably one of the simplest/most reliable.

      Their all idiots

You could DD an E36 M3 all year round. It is JUST an E36 with some faster bits on it. ANd when you crash it, put the motor in your e30.

The motor in my car has 225k on it and it still pulls like a freight train.

the ca\r your looking at sounds like it was well maintained. Id go for it.

        I dd an e36 m3 with 237k miles.

I've had a total of zero problems in the last year, and I put over 20k of those miles on myself.

If the car was maintained correctly, it will be a good car. However, a PPI will still be a good investment.
