Interest in OE quality replica Startecs?

I wanted to gauge interest in some replica Startec taillights for you guys out there with early models.

These would be quality replicas, not your run of the mill China special tails. Hand assembled, pressure casted, clear acrylic, weather proof.

Anyone interested please post in here! To start a project like this has quite some initial investment cost, and would require that a good amount of people have serious interest.
Cost could be anywhere between $200-$300 per set. In contrast to the ludicrous $600+ prices of a decent OE pair of Startecs.

No promises of a group buy yet, this is not a Ponzi scheme, just gauging interest.

This comes up all the time and so far nobody has delivered.

Probably would sell more MHWs (late models). I know I would be in for a set.

I mean I would be in but like others have said it always falls through. And I'd prefer the darker ones compared to the pink tint ones. If you can make a quality example you'd probably sell 15-20 sets pretty fast.

I'm not asking for advice. But thanks guys.

I'm asking who's interested in putting down 200-300 dollhairs for a pair when a prototype is made and presented.

MHW's are much more complicated and would be a multi-piece casting. Not worth the effort for a small production batch of maybe 20 sets.

Startecs are semi multipiece too + capsules.

Yeah but the lens is one piece. MHW has a multicolor lens, which requires some expensive equipment.

If the quality is as good as you say they will be and at the price point mentioned. You will have no problem selling a couple dozen sets. I think at that cost I would get a set even if I had original startecs and run the replicas as a daily set.

I'd probably buy another e30 if you could pull this off. Just so I can run a set of your startecs.
