Yep - they're that classy old car no one knows about. It looks a bit familiar, and oh there's that badge…but they've never seen one. I've always been a Bavaria fan since I saw a new one growing up in Colorado. I was probably about eye level with those chrome letters on the trunk.

Elaborate on that a bit please Steve. Don't they have fairly crisp handling? I've read 20 mpg is normal, and you've got what..175hp plus decent torque?

Was the 3.0 a better car? I think the Bavaria had the bigger engine but was a stripper model.

That thing is dope. You would have to wear an elephant tusk colored 3 piece suit every time you drove it though.

might not be that clean, but it's only a 2 owner car (on second owner since 70's).

the rear shots look pretty clean and straight
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

I'd say that it's worth $6500 if the body has no rust and everything is there. Even though this one appears to be in good shape, it doesn't mean that you won't have to take the whole thing apart if it has not been maintained in the last 20 years.

If you are truly interested in these cars I would compare this one to one that has been well kept & driven. In terms of classic cars in this price range, buying the best car you can afford will end up being cheaper in the long run.

Late Fan, that is a sexy machine. My introduction to bmw came from a friends Bavaria so i guess i have a soft spot for them. Could easily see owning an E3 one of these days.
