If you are truly interested in these cars I would compare this one to one that has been well kept & driven. In terms of classic cars in this price range, buying the best car you can afford will end up being cheaper in the long run.

From under the hood it looks like it hasn't seen decent maint/repairs since the Regan era.
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

Was the 3.0 a better car? I think the Bavaria had the bigger engine but was a stripper model.
Im not dogging on them I love them. They are just kind of an under dog. Like my E12. Im just used to 02's and e30's that you can set up to do everything well. Thats a great car. Id probably do a swap on it so it had big power but Im spoiled

I've got too many cars that aren't finished. The A4 1.8 with rods sticking out of the pan, the Volvo 850T that's getting old and needs updating, my son's E30 resto project, my other son's old Land Rover, and an Alfa up on jack stands for several years now…

Here it is if anyone here is interested - Vancouver BC

          Right hand drive, that's unusual.

I like the burgundy one, but $9800?? Really?

I heard back from the ad. It was a neighbor who is listing it for them. He said no rust, very good shape, been painted a couple of times.

Funny thing is I saw this guy driving on the freeway about a year ago. I followed his car for a few miles and thought it looked stunning. Unless there's another right handed burgundy one in OC. doubt it.

I like the $9800 one too. Just print off some recently sold Bavarias from Ebay and that should calm him down a little. I'm surprised at how cheap nice examples of these cars are going for. Probably won't last forever.
