File fraudulent paperwork. That should work.

I don't know if or how this thing can be titled, which is why I was very disappointed when I talked to the seller.

I'm really curious about how the heck this thing ended up in a random MD auto auction...

The car looks clean. It'd be terrible if it ended up being parted out or doing racing duty for Lemons or something else like that. But, if there's no other solution, it may be what it's destined to become.

Bet he is dumping it because:

Seems like a major headache if not impossible. Needs to be more than just a bill of a sale.

Says cannot be sold since it does not meet regulations. Parting it out seems the only feasible option. Will chat with some folks further...

    Good catch.

Need to see what is required to get it on the road.

Someone Save this 1993 German 730i in Marylan

Ran across this ad in the Washington DC craigslist - http://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/4727438373.html - for a 93 BMW 730i that was imported from Germany with 81k kilometers which is the equivalent to about 52k miles.

I spoke to the seller and he stated that he found it at a local Maryland auto auction and bought it. The only documentation that he has is the bill of sale from the auction.

This would be an awesome car at an awesome price. Unfortunately, at just 21 years old and without any real documentation to speak of, I don't know how this thing can ever legally be put back on the road.

I hope someone can figure out a way to salvage this German land yatch. I'm local and would love an excuse to go check it out.

Working...
