Well the low miles, or kms as it were, are a plus. Nice condition, cheap price, but I agree, just a meh BMW.Leave a comment:

Besides the Euro part....there's really nothing desirable here. Maybe if it was a manual trans.....
It does have a coolness factor.....kinda....Leave a comment:

I'm pretty sure I could get it titled fairly easily and legitimately. Looks like a nice example for what it is, but nothing I'd be interested in.
There was a time that the thought of such a car getting parted would fill me with sadness. Now, however, I couldn't care less.Leave a comment:

Jesus, that thing must be dogshit slow.
Interesting.
IMO not desirable.
IIRC New Hampshire it's really easy to title a vehicle, or some New England state. Get a contact there, title it, send title here, transfer it.Leave a comment:

How is this the wrong motor and trans? Tongue in cheek?
Filing fraudulent paperwork was tongue in cheek too. I'm not sure many lines of work would see this behavior with favor.
with that.. it only has a bill of sale. So even if 25 years old..I'm not sure if MD would accept it. The BoS does not seem to be enough. The amount of time, filing fees, paperwork and people that need to give this car their blessing...it might be 25 years old by then!
So... register and title it in the easiest state possible. Then transfer to your home state. Would that be the work around?
It was very popular for AZ temp tags to be on vehicles here in metro DC last year or so. Supposedly, one could get a week long temporary registration online for dirt cheap.Leave a comment:

In OR, you can file a mechanic's lien (if you have a shop) and get a title that way.Leave a comment:

someone in canada could buy it. sad that its the wrong motor/trans/etc to be of any real interestLeave a comment:

bring it to georgia and wait for it to reach 25 years as you dont need a title to register the car over 25 years old. Some states will allow you to do a bonded titleLeave a comment:

I can't do fraudulent paperwork in my line of work. But if there's a way to legalize this thing, I'd love to know.
