M62b44tu in e30 help

I am in the process of swapping an m62 into my e30 but I'm trying to get around the ews first before I do anything else.
I have a low kms 2002 540i that everything is getting removed from.
I'm trying to find a way to eliminate the ews completely because it adds so much more confusion.

I have a few ideas, but unsure about how to tackle them and spent numerous hours on google and forums.

It is possible to do it using an obd2 to usb connector to a computer with winkfp?

If you have a complete donor for the engine, just pluck all the ews stuff as well and graft into the e30, that way you should be able to get it running ok with the stock ecu. Thats what i did when i did my first s52 swap, since i had the whole car to cannabalize

I have a friend running a EWS M60 in his e34 525iT. He simply took the antenna ring and key to the donor car and taped them together. The EWS thinks the key it always there.

This would work with a ews2 system. Probably not with ews3, which is in the 2002 e39 Op has.

There is no simple way, unless you run standalone.

It is possible with other DMEs of that vintage, so I would imagine it is possible. I don't even know what it has for a DME, but I think it is Bosch ME 7.2
