Clean body and interior.... you're already ahead of the game. No need to drive it, just park it and admire it. :)

I bought my e30 when it was 15 years old. Even back then it needed a fair amount of work (new ds, timing belt, tensioner, rear subframe bushings etc.)

Now it's 26 years old and needs all the little "accessory" things addressed (since I've hardly driven it over that time frame).

These cars are a test of patients and willingness to take your time and repair/maintain issues as they arise. When they are repaired, things work wonderfully :D

If you simply want to make a monthly payment on something cool, the FRS or BRZ is cool car.
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

Have been thinking about test driving a BRZ to use as my DD (not sure I can stomach buying a Toyota, rather the Subaru badge!)

In reality though, the e30 gives me zero issues now it's sorted, so hesitating on the expense.

This is true. Or buy one that has been very well maintained. But that is getting harder and harder to find.

I would rather spend $300 a month on my E30 fixing stuff myself then $450.00 per month on a new car with new car insurance prices and new car labor rate, with new car technology smashing the same women as the new car guys.............. IJS............

Alpine white sedan manual fairly clean body and interior.
So many nagging issues is taking the joy out of ownership.
Electrical issues, water leaks front and rear, noisy throwout bearing, overheating, the list could go on these are major ones.
Did I get a lemon or are e30s just old Cars that are going to cost a lot of time and money to maintain?
                      I am thinking of selling!!!!!!!!!!!
I've only recently started to like my e30. Compared to my old e36 it is more expensive and in worse shape. But sometimes it's a sideways glimpse in the driveway. A glance back over the shoulder on your way up the yard. A brief instant when you think, "that car is here because of me. I made it happen." And that's how you know you're still in love <3
