Now check the ceiling price. Yes this EAG car is above that, but not absurdly, but try to find another one in the same condition for sale.

Wow. That says a lot right there.

The economy picking up has a lot to do with it. Lots of cars have been underpriced for the last 10 years, now people have money to play with again.

25+ years old making them "classic cars" also has a lot to do with it. Look at the muscle car boom.
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

these have gone CRAZY lately. Just within the last 3-4 years

              "underpriced" according to the seller
Not surprised for that specific year. There were only about 2,500 early 3.0 Turbo Carreras between '75-'77 before they switched to the 3.3 930's in '78, which were very different cars.

The Turbo Carreras were especially difficult to drive so not many survived.

Am the only one who would rather have the S38 swapped M3 for half the price?

It was listed for $50k in 2012. Even then it was overpriced. I don't know, but heard someone guy in NJ ;D can replicate this even with the s14 and 5 lugs for 1/3 of the cost.

this car is for a serious collector only. I mean lets be honest if i was one of the rich and famouses, with my 30 car warehouse, and I bought this for that amount of money, would I drive it? probably not. although for the person who buys this, 110k isn't absurd, but once you bought something as perfect as this, would you really ever drive it? so no point in complaining guys, those of you with 80k+ m3's are going to come out better in the long run for having a car someone would actually drive. good. bump that price up.

They're drafting the Porsche 911 market which is drafting 300SL MB and vintage Ferrari

So find the cleanest /stock E30 and hold on. Down the road, may go the way of 50/60's VW sedans/buses and 2002's.
