Finally got to view the car this morning. We didn't start it because it didn't have a battery installed, and we had limited time to look at the car. Long story short, they don't know if they want to sell it yet or not, I'm doing my best to convince them to sell it to me. Continually working on it. Pics below.
A few corrections from the original post info:
• 73,000km not 60,000km
• Black interior not tan

First I hope you get the car. Not hating.
No way would I have walked away without a yes or no. Not a maybe. Your giving them time to research and find buyers. If they even find out how to get intouch with Enthusiast, this deal is done.
No one entertains offers without having a price that they want for the car.
Entertain me means make me say yes.
Is this husband and wife? Roughly what age?
Using Google.ca the first few listings have prices attached.

If they don't want to sell then they don't have to, but when the time comes they know I will be there with an offer. You don't have to force anyone to sell something they love just because you want it.

This could yet be the best e30 m3 "Barn Find" of 2015. Just stay in contact with the owner like glue, but don't be too pushy/aggressive that could become annoying. This one owner with low mile car is worth at least $50k today...easily. I would not be surprised if EAG had seen this thread and are playing detective already.
Good luck and I hope you will get it.88 M3
