    1987-1991 325i

Alright i really dont know where to put this, im not looking to buy at the moment, just curioustiy right now as i may consider it.

How much do 325i's from 1987-1991 with a bad engine or tranny (5spd) or even better both bad go for?

I want to get another E30 and want one with a straight body with perfect paint but limited on cash and i have a spare 325i engine w/ full harness and 173 ECU and i also have a spare tranny so it wont be a problem to swap it into the car.

Dont really care about condition of intieror just needs to have a non cracked dash as that is one thing i wont do again in a car.

Would like it to be also a 2 door but i think i can live with a 4 door if price would happen to be right.

Im not looking to buy just want to get an idea of what id be expected to pay for one with these problems.

Where you are located will have to be factored in when trying to nail down an "approximate" value of what you have in mind. I live in Calif. where everything costs more, so the estimates I give you may not be accurate for something similar in your area.

Another thing to consider is the seller's knowledge. If he/she knows what its worth, they will charge top dollar. I recently heard about a local guy that bought a non-running '74 2002 for $150 from a seller who just wanted it gone. Good, striaght car....and all it needed was $125 in parts and an afternoon of wrench-turning to get it back on the road. Go figure :?

My paint is dull, but other than that my car is in good shape.
Cost me $500 with a blown motor, I would say 1k or less, but if you find something mint condition, I would go up to $1500.
