    GRM: D/A SC'd M42

Not a single valid word in that title - I love it.

Anywho, all of you cult-belonging M42 guys should pick up this month's GRM. Last month they did a bunch of maintenance to a 318i(s?) that they picked up and got it to 127whp (on a 200k mile motor). This month, they answer all of your questions and bolt up a D/A supercharger - after lord knows how many people said it couldn't be done - to an M42. End result was 187hp to the wheels, IIRC, and they cover ALL the details.

They also cover the 5 or so cheapest cars to get started in road course racing. It's a good read - highly recommended.

Not to mention SpecE30 is mentioned a couple other places in the issue. (besides the cheapest 5 wheel-to-wheel programs).

D/A also was shocked by this and have that spiffy new ad. I guess they owe GRM a bit of thanks.

Good issue, pick it up. I bet that 318is is fun to drive.

"Having won more road races than any other model in history, the E30 M3 is considered by many to be the world's most successful road race car." - Simply put, E30s kick ass.

                    Thank you Rob!

10 yrs (80 issues) of GRM for $99.99 That's 75% off the cover price. I'm doing it at the end of the month. I get 3 mags a month. Roundel, Bimmer Mag, and GRM. GRM is the best hands down. There is not a single issue that isn't helpful and they have had all kinds of E30 writeups as well. The only magazine that I can read cover to cover for every single issue.

Automobile, Motor Trend, R&T, etc. are all almost identical. Even Bimmer Mag and Roundel has a lot of staff writers in common (i.e. their tech guy is the same as I tried to send one question to two different addresses and the guy said he would only reply to one). GRM is wholey unique and wonderful.

GRM's publisher, Tim Suddard, is an e30 guy.

Also, the variety of cars they cover is nice because it gives you a decent perspective on other makes/models.

GRM is a great mag, don't steal it. I just finished reading this month's issue and it's a great read, as always.
