Hey guys,

Please give the admin on this site a warm thank you. They removed all the spams we got this morning within a few hours! And they have been doing this for a long time. I hate spammers!!!!

It's pretty easy to spot the spam threads. Whether it's from india, or stanleyrockafella. I appreciate you (and the other volunteer staff) removing them.

Yes thank you to those mods and admins. I've moderated on a few forums and its not an easy job, especially when there is frequent daily traffic.

Does it help when we report the post? Or does it cause more trouble than it is worth?

I have been reporting the Spam threads hoping that I was helping the cause.

I have no idea why they bother, does anyone actually click on that crap?

Definitely. The posts in GD and OT are usually easy enough to spot. The individual posts in established threads (which are almost always "sorry I don't have the answer for you now you should ask someone else here's a link to some random classifieds site") are the ones where it's most helpful for us to be pointed towards to get them deleted and swing the ban hammer.

one thing that really helps is if people don't respond to spam posts. it makes it easier to spot them when there's a block of 10 posts with no replies.

I'll keep this in mind haha, I usually try to entertain whoever see's the thread after i report it. ;) Thanks you guys
