Best get on it. That gives people time to save up. I'm not sure how many people want to wait 2 years on a group buy.

$100/running yard is cheap. The last of the M-Tech reproduction cloth just sold, and the asking price was $300/running yard. If you produce enough of it, I think you could get ~$150-$200 yard once it's in your hands. 50-100% investment in 2 years isn't bad at all if you can tie up the money.

Just had my buddy send the makers an email. I'll probably put people on a list for an amount and then shortly before i receive it collect $$ from buyers to pay for it. I dont have 5k to buy a 50 yard roll and sell on my own.

I will speak for ninestitch a little bit. I've got him working on seat upholstery front and rear for my sport seats, and so far they look like they're coming together awesomely. He's been great communicating and sending pictures of the progress. I'll try and post a pic of what he's got done so far. It's not alpina, but the black/red plaid pattern centers and black vinyl sides.

Honestly, at 3 years out, I'd probably be a buyer as well.

However, 3 years is a long way off, stuff happens. We really need a kickstarter or something similar to make this happen. Having people say "oh yes, I'll pay in 3 years" isn't a bill that I'd want to be stuck with.

exactly the problems. Saving money to buy real stuff to use and send to get rep'd. Really i just need money Im broke as a joke right now with painting this car. It puts a hurtin on ya for sure

So am I. Hoping we can get it produced at the same place. Right now it's about raising funds. An E30 interior needs about 5 running yards so we need about 10 people per cloth design to make it happen.

5 running yards should do seats and door cards.

At this point it's more about finding a place that can make it, and making sure that when that happens we have enough people to hit the manufacturers minimum. Price will be what it is, somewhere between $100-$300 a yard. Way too many factors at this point.
