I agree with this... Even in 2011 and late 2013, Red Bull didn't cheat to gain strength. Mercedes engine manufacturer knew about the regulations before the other teams, giving them a leg up. The Mercedes team got extra time to test when they tested out Pirellis new compound of tire before the 2014, they may say they didn't learn anything, but we all know they did.

I had wondered this, but until we see some big sudden step up in performance I'll try not to let my inner cynic get the better of me.

I just want to see Riccardo being able to compete, which given he'll be on his 4th engine already next race ain't going to happen this year.

What will be next for RBR - a Redbull / TAG Porsche entry given their tie up with Webber / Porsche in the WEC?

So Max is looking like the real deal to me; if I were running Ferrari, I would start some negotiations now. Some would say this is premature, but the potential seems enormous, and could be a perfect partner for Vettel.

I feel so bad for Williams... :( It was nice to see them taking the fight to Mercedes and frankly embarrassing them at the start.

This little thread is just a small micro - representation of what has happened to F1. So sad.

                            Indeed.

What is more boring, v8 vettel or v6t Hamilton?

Hamilton v6t. Although Vettel was dominant, there was still great racing going on throughout the pack, and it wasn't him and Webber consistently lapping 2 seconds faster. But this is what F1 gets for giving Mercedes a handout after they bitched about leaving.

The cars are more boring, slower, quiter, no refueling so no strategy. It is all just very vanilla now. At least even during the Schumacher reign the sport was exciting even if you knew Schumi would win the championship. I remember faster cars hounding slower cars for 1/3 of the race trying to pick a spot to get by. Now, drs engaged, pass made. Everything the fia has done the past 5yrs has been detrimental to the sport and the lunacy that used to be F1.
