^agreed. i think that car is probably worth 4k. paint looks good, right? its going to cost 2k-3k to get a decent paint job anyway. all the little shit can be fixed pretty easy-if you aren't willing to fix the items you mentioned above, maybe an e30 isn't for you?

fwiw, its pretty fucking hard to find an e30 with a decent paint job for less than 5-6k.

the rust under the fender scares me a little, but it looks like its a product of floor jack abuse.

No I'm going to spend more money and get a mint e30. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on this one.

I think the spoiler is a BBS. Improperly mounted in the iS spoiler mount holes.

edit: The more I look, the more I think I'm wrong about this…

i thought bbs at first but it isn't. if you look at the spoiler in op's pics, you can see there is a scallop for the roundel in the right place. it is mounted correctly. this spoiler would have been made for an early pre facelift car.

THAT is one damn fine automobile! personally, i'm not a huge m42 fan, but that car will keep you from having to do deferred maintenance.

not a huge fan of vinyl sport seats, but thats what 318is's came with and they are certainly in good shape.

Also, you should realize that most of the nice E30's on this forum have taken years of planning, many hours of labor, and quite a few dollars to get where they are now. Sometimes one of those cars goes on sale and someone gets a deal. When that happens, people buy plane tickets and take days off of work to get them back home. Most super nice builds get parted out, because $14k is about the limit of what someone will pay for a modified 325is, and $14k doesn't get you as far as you might think. Properly repainting a car costs 1/2 that if someone else does the work for you.

Go check it out, but keep in mind what it's going to cost to get it to where you want. I always figure out what I want from a car, and then value every car I look at against that idea. What's your ideal E30?
