Ive done the swap 3 times. All you need is the OBC and the Harness. It really isnt that hard to swap..

Well oops on me. Maybe its because I hate wiring and that's an easy cop out lol.

We're assuming you're starting with a car in like-new, as-delivered condition so all the OEM bushings are in perfect condition. Ride height is a personal thing so it's hard to say XXXX setup is good.

              1. I never mentioned anything IRT ride height only suspension in general. I did say not necessarily coilovers.
              2. I never alluded to what or which "XXXX setup is good."
              3. If the suspension is in "like-new, as-delivered condition" what reason would there be to replace the bushings/shocks/springs? Unless it's a total preference. Not following.
              4. No, I'm assuming said E30 is like 99.9% of all the E30s; used, driven and require maintenance.

Even if said E30 has e.g., under 10Kmi., there is still a good chance the car was immobile for long periods of time. These items, i'm sure you understand, degrade regardless if the car is being used or not.

new OEM bushings are not mods, only the m3 offset bushes would be considered a mod.
id also say a SSK is a must
sway bars and "sports" springs and shocks
15 or 16" period correct wheels
                LSD if not fitted

I'm blown away by that duel trunk lights mod. That + LED lights = finally being able to see what's in the trunk at night. I can't stop thinking about it

Word. It is a safety issue when your pushing an e30. With the stock school buss-sized steering wheel, and stock rack, you'll be hard pressed to react quick enough. More then once, I had that "oh shit" moment on a stock e30.

                          Not even any splicing/wiring involved
Most of the OBC reading receive their signals from the cluster or the DME

You literally unplug two plugs and replug new ones

keyless entry because how many of us unlock our cars with the trunk.
