the stands to the left (as you're coming down the track) are the best place to sit, you can see like 3 turns. and the back straight

im trying to remember the exact scenario. but a buddy of mine races AMA, factory yamaha. last year; he was in 2nd place I think, and was too tough in the corner going in with Hayden I think, and has to ride it right out. He stands it up, goes all the way through that dirt, and stops right before the fence, without laying it down

he caught back up, but I think he finished in 3rd or something.

The Aston one was pretty cool.

But holy crap, what is with the gt1 and the benz?!!! How is that possible? Do they just have enough torque that they can create lift like that? Thats crazy...I didn't think that would even be possible.

Are you kidding? Aston Martin just spray painted the car flat black and brought it back on the track. They called it their "project car."

                            speed+aero=downforce

lots of downforce+bump or something that lifts the front end=instant "kite"

Good article explaining the aero behind the flip(s)

As for the Aston .... great gravel trap placement. Had that happened in the 50's, the driver would have died, as well as a few dozen spectators in a fiery spectacle.
