Hopefully that's the worst of it. I'm curious to hear how much of a difference the refreshing will make in how the car feels. By the way, which wheels are those? They have a nice look to them. 16"?

My car only has 209k on it though so although its 11 years old it doesn't have a lot of mileage

I feel like this should be something you have to read before joining r3v or any older car forum.

You also restored my faith in FL.

I live in the woods outside the Everglades and I use electrical tape to put little squares of rat poison at various places inside the engine bay. I also keep a giant roll of rubber tubing at hand for replacing vacuum tube lines which they LOVE! This past summer it worked great.

Side note, cotton balls doused with peppermint oil will keep rodents out of your car too.

I work as a tech at a big BMW dealer. And the amount of dead mice I pull out of air boxes and engine bays in the fall is insane.

Wow...now I am wondering how much better the car will run with that nest and half of air filter out of it.

Looks like you can buy them new at Tire Rack, which is nice.

Yes that's them spaced 5mm in the front and 25mm in the rear.

Well the sad truth is it doesn't drive any better but I'm sure the valves appreciate not being beat by incoming particles.

Today the car comes off the road for a MAJOR overhaul and as of 10 mins ago I sold a complete Audi a4 engine I had for sale which just released funds to the 325.

The motor is pretty tired as is and I have a habit of swapping motors (my three rabbits have different turbo motors) so if the m20 had popped...it would have just pushed me into swapping in a different motor.

Truth be told though...I'm very pleased with the m20. I love how smooth it is. Best car I had close to this one was my bone stock 1991 GTI 16V. Great car too!

I end up replacing mine at least once a year. Probably not necessary but I end up doing it anyways
