What happened to all the E30 racing M3's?

Back in its day there was literally thousands racing around and now you have to spend tons of money to get a real racing E30 M3 Evo. Did they all get trashed?

Whoops. Im a n00b. Can someone move this?

    Um, private collections?

There is 2 DTM 92 cars parked side by side in storage down here. Haven't turned a wheel in anger since 95 or something rediculous.

I was doing a HPDE last saturday at Miller and there were CCA club races going on at the same time. There were tons of e30 m3's.

i think he meant the ones that raced in the DTM, BTCC, ETCC, etc. not club racing like you are refering to

i know of one BTCC car in the US that still sees the track. owner lives in NJ. it's an ex-Prodrive 2.0L car.

Also - there is at least one 91/2 season Ravaglia driven car that was owned by Ron Checca. I think he sold it so i'm not certain who has the car now. These things come up pretty regularly on racecarsdirect.com . The benson and hedges car was on there recently, as well as the Diebels Alt car. It is a lot more rare to see a factory ACS or Bigazzi team car for sale. Those pull down some serious coin.

I know of one in my area...it was at a friend's shop a little over a year ago. It mainly competed in BTCC but then did some work in Italian-based touring car in the early 90s. After that, one collector somewhere in Europe bought it and let it collect dust for a few years before selling it to its current owner here in Northern California. From what I know, it sees track time in club racing events to this day.

How does one get replacement parts for those without selling some important bodily organ to pay for it?
