I didn't organize this, just spreading the word. You can ask to be kept in the loop on availability/pricing by emailing:
    hello@gridmotorwerks.com

I wrote them asking to be kept in the loop and received the following:

Thanks for getting in touch, you have now been added to the mailer.

    Kind regards,
    Andrea Dias
    Grid Motorwerks

Could be an interesting product, although not for everyone. I'm sure those that have managed to source NOS louvers and paid through the nose will not be happy to hear this.

Apparently this UK company will be making new e30 louvers. I saw this on the r3v Facebook page so I thought I would share it here!

I'm definitely interested in seeing the final product/pricing.

Hard to know, but given that it seems louvers are high in demand now, it is only a matter of time before someone starts grabbin' for that cash.

I hope they make them. Maybe they can start making some for 2002s next!

I think they said they will be starting out making them for e30s and e21s.

Who knows where they could go from there!

I think production of these will always bring up the "will they still be considered desirable if everyone can get them?" question. I think there are enough e30 owners to justify at least a couple runs of production and I can see it being sellouts. As much as I may want one, theres so much other stuff I would want to buy first.

I know they haven't released a price point yet, but whats everyone thinking they'll be at?

I've talked to them. Yes they will be making them. They are taking pre orders for the first batch but they have not released a price yet.

I think by sending an email to the address in my first post you can be provided info without committing to anything at this point.

I'm firstly interested in seeing the quality of the product, secondly and probably most importantly the price point.

I think at 250-300 they would sell like hot cakes. Considering its a UK company, and the perceived demand, i'm betting they will be asking around 500, which will put it outside my budget for what it is. The good news is that it will at least likely result in more of these floating around used in a few years!

The plastic slat rear window shades that sit on the outside of the glass. There were a few euro companies that made them back in the 80s for e30s and e21s but they are super rare. Not everyone's cup of tea and imo only work on some cars, but when they worl they look great. I've seen some Scandinavian members cars that pull them off fantastically.

They have been fetching $$$ given the rarity.
