If you can sell that car for $6500, it should be gone already.

Nooo hahahaha, Hondas are lame I hate fwd. Actually believe it or not, I had to convince my dad to let me buy my e30. He wanted to buy me a newer car like a e46 or e92 but I refused. He asked me what I like and I told him either a evo 8/9 or a e46 m3. Pretty much anything with a manual transmission that can be considered a tuner. Personally I like modyifying and making a car have my own touch.

What you need to do is get a job in the service industry and pay for everything yourself so you can learn the value of a dollar.

Oh come on give me a break, I worked 12 hours a day and sometimes 14 hours a day with my dad in a restaurant for three summers straight to save up for my car. Their are plenty of kids at my high school with brand new cars that are spoiled. I might have it easier then some of you hard working people on r3v but still I deffinatly value money and you can ask any of my friends. I never did donuts or took corners sideways and have (thank God) never hit my car or gotten pulled over and its been a full year. I know flyboy is the best at detecting epic fail threads but I hope this doesn't turn into one, and I hope I still have your guys' respect. As of now, I'm still planning on selling it.

Sorry to say, but any kid who says "Plus my dad is gunna hook it up with the evo I guess." won't get much respect from me.

Good luck with the sale and enjoy the Evo.

if you are asking a forum whether or not you should keep your car, cuz its rusted out and running like crap, you should just sell your car. doesn't sound like you have done much maintenance to it, considering one of your cons is the fact that the suspension is rusted? come on man....

Sounds like he wants a warranty to lean on rather than a car to work on to be honest.

It all comes down to how rusty the car is. San Diego has enough clean e30's.

If your dad is gonna hook you up with a car in the evo price range, see if he will go for an E36 M3. That way you won't lose the money spent on it. You can probably sell it in 5 years for what you paid as long as you take good care of it. Trust me, it will be nice to have a ~$10k cushion after graduation.
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

Lol come on, my dad has been wanting to buy me a car for a long time now. I always refused because I wanted to pay and fix the car my self. I wish I could repair it but I'm only a high school student and I don't even have a job. I'd get a job but I waste all my time studying. For now, I want to buy an evo because it has been my dream car ever since I was a kid. I got into the e30 scene only a couple of years ago. However, my ultimate goal is a s85 swap in a e30 chassis
