Is there any intrest in equal length turbo manifolds? PICS

Hey all, I was wondering how much of an intrest there would be in and equal length turbo manifold. I have been tinkering around and made a very rough prototype. I have also made a prototype adapter just like the one from proturbo, and could easily do more if there was enough intrest. They would be made out of alumizied steel and feature full mandrel bends. Here is a picture of what I have done, I just cut a bunch of angled pieces of straight pipe and created this hideous thing, but it gives me measurements and an idea of what kinds of bends i need to buy. The only reason why its completely welded is because my younger brother wanted something to practice on. Let me know what yall think. -Ben

Proturbo already offers a equal length turbo manifold superior to anything I see you putting out.

Well you have to keep in mind I am just doing this out of my garage in my spare time, and I would sell it for hundreds less.

Have you fixed the straight cut and welded roll "cage" in that car yet?
Something about 30+ seam welds on the main hoop of a roll cage just doesnt sit right...

Also, you manifold, the turbo would sit to far up and out... it'd hit the shock tower and hood.
        Below the radar...

Well you will have to keep in mind that no one will buy that thing coming out of your garage in your spare time.

haha, shit dude, take it easy. Did you even read my first post? Its gonna be all mandrel bends. And as for the cage, yeah its in the process of being fixed, I did that when I had no idea about the concepts or engineering that has to go into a proper cage. I was pretty much just messin around with some ideas.

I'm sure if you could make something that will fit and is not as ugly as your prototype that somebody would be interested if the price was right.

                Holy crap

That's the worst thing I've ever seen. How soon after you ran any sort of pressure through those pipes would that 5 miles of weld pop?

Swing wild, brake later, don't apologize.

                  "Very rough protoype"

Yes it's ugly and wouldn't work in raw form, but I see no reason to bash the guy for trying something himself. Just chiiiiiiill ;)

Pressure? There wouldn't be any on the exhaust side correct as a Turbo pressurizes the intake side.

If you could produce it cheaper than proturbo and it was roughly equal to their product then people would be interested. Good luck with your project and keep us informed! Another plus would be that you are in the United States and overseas shipping wouldn't be an issue.

Thank you very much for the guys who are standing up for me. Like I said, its a very rough prototype, its only good for measurements. THE REAL ONES WILL BE MADE WITH MANDREL BENDS and 1/4" flanges. Thanks again guys.

Jesus, all your guys that are raggin on him can piss off. At least he's trying it.

I don't see all the rest of you guys trying to build custom turbo manifolds.
