That's an ideal base for a track car: you'd likely want the sunroof removed for track use anyway, and it would still retain near full structural integrity after being repaired in the event of a crash.

Projection - $12k+ final selling price.

      We just fixed this:

So, given the condition of the rest of the car, it's worth saving.
You're repainting the car anyways... so exterior condition isn't a huge concern.

Wondering what other issues that car has? The damage alone does not warrant salvage imho. That would be a relatively cheap fix, a few thousand tops. Me thinks the engine no worky. Still would be a good buy with someone who has the cash to throw at it.

The roof repair on that car is 6-7 K from insurance point of view, the biggest problem is that the roof is not available new and it would be very difficult finding a ussedan one.

I see a convertible conversion on that one

There are 2 NOS roof skins 3.5 hours away from where this car is being sold at an independent. ;) (Non-Sunroof!)

Still horrendously overpriced. I would steer clear of that one.

It's a low miles car. Even with a new roof skin stitched on and resprayed, the car will still fetch pretty decent numbers, IMHO. Can't wait for this bubble to pop.

Both of these are the same for all E30 coupes.

                      the door???? um, no......

i doubt the roof is the same either. the ledge for the windshield on an m3 is different.

don't get me wrong, they would both be pretty easy to modify but certainly not "the same". i'm pretty sure the only sheet metal on the car that is the same would be the hood and early style tail panel.

M3 doors don't have provisions for side trim, like a standard e30 does.

My bad on the door. Side trim holes can be easily filled vs. finding an M3 door. That said, if I was a buyer for this car I would get the M3 PN unit from flyboy.

I wonder how much it would sell for. I wouldn't mind buying it under 15 K and parted out.
