How far have you come?

I first posted on the BEN in 2000 when I was looking around for what I was going to replace my Karmann Ghia with. I bought my 325is in October of 2001 and started hitting other boards from there.

Wow it´s been a long time ago,

back when BEN was called Gustavo Melo´s E30 site :) around ´97 or so,,
must have been about the same time stefán got his then 11year old 325i ´86 wich he still has today,,

also I remember when www.e30.de was getting started at about the same time,,

the first board i posted on was supercars.net like four years ago. and i would yell at all the honda kids who would say all the other cars were gay.

the e30 sorta fell in my lap from my dad. it was my fourth car. i had basic car knowledge, but none on e30s.
i think weston got me on e3s. and from their, i was a e30 addict.
then bimmerforums, made me a total bimmerhead.
i think one of the first posts i had on e3s, was about the m50 swap. from the start the eta made me want more power.
but they also made me realize i should take the time and find a car for me.

BEN old skooler here too, been thru too many nic's to remember tho ... like eric said, the real knowlege came when u actually put the theory into practise ... its all well and good to reel off e-knowledge, but getting dirty is a different story. saying that, i have learnt alot since using the net/forums, plus met lots off cool peeps.
