has anyone got anything to fit an M30 AFM as far as an airbox goes. I would like to run an airbox with the larger AFM but I need to know if there is anything that fits. I also have a left side high beam delete and found an inlet sort of cone thing that I put in the place of the high beam and i think it looks pretty cool. I will post pictures tomorrow.

just put the damn factory airbox back in it and then you don't have to worry about hoses rubbing, ractive heatsheilds, ram air and all that crap... makes no difference anyways

You can modify the stock airbox to fit an M30 AFM - my plan until I go MAF and standalone.

Oh you have the big ass one? Is it possible to use my tank and put it on the other side?

Steve Dinan told us at a BMW club tech session that the stock air box provides max HP for the M20 and a cone filter adds no appreciable HP gains. We played around with one on our E30 race car (stock engine with just an aftermarket chip) and went back to the stock air box.

But they do look cool and sound OK to some people.

A cone filter may add HP in other types of cars, but the BMW engineers appear to have got it right at least with the E30.

Not E30 related, but Steve also said a strut tower bar is only for eye candy on an E36 or E46. He admits that the ones they sell for E36/E46 are eye candy only.
