Anyone ever hear of Mille Miglia's?

I had some parts that I no longer needed laying around wasting space, so I found a guy in Craiglist and traded him for these "Mille Miglia 1000's" he called them.. I don't know much about the wheel other then the fact that I think they are awesome looking. I plan on restoring them and polishing the lip.. Anyone have any info on these? It would be cool to learn a little history on them.

Rare? Maybe. Desirable? I would say not really.

Nice find! I'd say they're fairly rare, I've never seen the BMW wheels in the UK although the Nelson and Hans Merc wheels were dealer fit over here, especially the Nelson wheels on W123 cars. They're a set of period Italian alloy wheels, what's not to like? Restore them properly and they'd certainly be worth something here, I'd pitch them around £500, possibly even try £750.

They'll look incredible on an E21. I now want a set of Alain wheels in 4x100.

              I guess a trade for a G260 trans a 885i head wasn't a bad deal then!

I'll be honest! I'd part with them for the right price, I need to fund my engine swap. But I wouldn't mind keeping them :)

Sorry, just realized they are 16's....I don't want 16's anymore

I'm currently looking at a set of Meglia 1000 MM8's on CL from SoCal. Hopefully shipping to WA doesn't kill me

                              "Mille Miglia" = "1000 miles"

                              Named after the famous race:
