I don't think any E30 was ever made with a passenger side airbag, do you have a picture of what is on you passenger side?

I'll get one later. There's a big label on a lump in the top of the glove box with an orange label that says "attention: air bag" and a picture of a guy getting punched in the face with a balloon.

All the airbag cars have that (mine included), but there was never a passenger airbag in the E30 chassis. It's just a general warning about the driver's airbag that for some reason is placed there in the glove box. The "lump" it is on is the shroud that covers the computer.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info. I wouldn't mind taking the whole system out, but I'm sure the safety inspectors wouldn't be terribly amused when re-registration time comes around.

Is there a specific part of the VIN that indicates paint color, or do you need to run it? I'd like to find color code on a replacement hood, Calypso red.

This place is like catholic school, 2/3 of the students smoke weed on a daily basis, but the faculty seems to convince the outside world that drugs are just in the other schools, the resident pot dealer thinks he's cool because he has the originality to call anyone he doesn't like a homosexual, and most of the little children follow him like sheep, then there's the few with brains, you hardly ever hear from them, perhaps don't even know they exist, but they get all the sh!t done.
