e30 pick-up

I was in socal a couple of weeks ago and I saw a green e30 that had been converted into a pickup type truck. It was very clean with a spray on bedliner and all. It reminded me of the little vw pickup truck. Anyone ever seen anything like this?
I thought it was grose at first, but it kinda grew on me as we were cruisen next to it.
