GT3 guys.... how bout a little friendly comp.?

i'm thinkin we pick a car, decide to either keep it stock or mod it however we like and run a track we all agree upon & post our times. winner doesn't get shit other than bragging rights, so the honor system should work just fine here.

my suggestion: Shelby Cobra, totally stock other than sport tires, asc & tcs = 0 @ um..... how bout Laguna Seca

only reason behind this suggestion is cuz i just won the cobra & was playin w/ it... and i like Laguna Seca.... although i haven't taken the cobra out on that track yet, so i don't have an advantage

any other suggestions? i'm not gonna play till tomorrow night after work so you guys have plenty of time to practice & get your times down before i give it a shot

any other suggestions for car, setup & track?

oh.... and no fancy controlers or steering wheels either... :)

I got a 1:06:39 at Laguna in the GT-40 with no traction control on.

          GT-40 owns me.
So do all 4 F1 cars.

AE 86 Sprinter on sim tires at Laguna. Cheap enough that anyone can get the car right from the start, traction control and ABS off, pro steering, no assists.

                    Let's rock.

what we do around here is 100k or less pick a non-japan or acura car and do your mods and the price of the car and mods must be under 100k. and for fun take a pic of the car and time trial.

Can the AE86 be modded? I've got one already in my stable that Jordan built for me, set up as a drifter. Although a car as tail happy as mine would probably hurt my lap times. Just a bone-stock AE86, with the features you listed then?

I'm down. I say those that can, take a pic of your TV with the lap times. When are we starting?

haha i love it. with the F1 race around the oval track, all we did was tape the accel. button down and leave the car to bounce off the corners. WE ended up getting a mil or so by doing it that way. Come back for the last 5 laps or so...it kicked ass.
