Using Euro plate as registered US plate

I know some have done this, but want to see what kind of issues some of you have experienced running a euro plate with the registered tag numbers and stickers here in the US.
More specifically, I'm in PA right now so any insight into how PA may handle this would be great.
    Thanks!

I'm pretty much 110% sure this is illegal in all 50 states. but it would be cool if I was wrong!

I can't see it being legal. I'm willing to bet most officers just aren't prepared to see something like that and might not know how to act accordingly. Cool idea though.

I've seen a few Military guys bring back their vehicles from Germany and they have to run their German plates for a little while before they can get the Louisiana plates. I'm not too sure on the details, though.

It's not legal. Most states have a 30-90 day law that requires you to register your car in the state you live in otherwise they give you a ticket

I understand that, but what I'm saying is that you place the registration stickers on the euro plate, the plate also has the same letter/number assigned to your vehicle from the state.

I remember now that my brother ran a euro plate like this on both of his m-coupes for several years (Michigan) Just confirmed he never had an issue with it. His problems were speed related lol

Yeah.....if it's not the states issued plate it's pretty illegal.

Hell, Va even makes "souvenir" plates....and even they are illegal to run on a vehicle.

So it must be one of those things that is up to officer judgement if they want to enforce it. Kind of like window tint. I ran tint for many years in Michigan, was strictly forbidden at any percentage, but I only got a ticket once.

We have a guy up here in Vancouver who has a personalized euro plate on the front, that matches his personal government issued plate on the rear, and he gets hassled, but has never got a ticket.......yet.

If you have a classic you can run a classic plate and have it tied to your normal registration, with the current plate in the trunk.

Both of my parents do this.

                        Euro plates? Beats me.

It's illegal to have in the back. In the front I have a euro plate custom made to match my CA plate. It's illegal to have a plate other than the gov issued one in the place of where yours is supposed to go but sometimes officers dont care as long a they can see your gov plate(in the back window or something) I know you can get away with them on wagons because you can somehow classify it as a truck through the DMV and trucks can legally have their license plate in the back window(while you have your euro plate where the gov one goes). hope this makes sense

It's really up to the officer's discretion. My buddy has a '61 Merc 220 with the original Germany plate between the taillights and an antique plate in the rear window. He's never been hassled because the car is driven only a handful of times throughout the year and he's never been an asshole in it.

Some guy who works in my shopping center has a custom european front plate that has the same letters as the CT back plate on his Audi.

Both are illegal. I figure if you drive a US spec car, just run US plates and try not to look like an ass. Because what gets you pulled over is looking like a stupid 18 year old kid making his car look like shit

Neither of my BMW's are daily drivers, but I run real euro plates in the front and have not been hassled.

I've put 20,000 miles on this plate in 4 years, not a single issue:

and I put 7,000 miles on this plate in 1 year, again, no issues:
