Will a M50 ECU/wiring harness from an automatic work in sequence with a manual tranny in an E30?

I have seen a E34 525iA converted to manual without changing ECU's
so I have to assume that it should work fine. -
shouldn't be much difference. I think the automatics idle a little bit higher and that's about it. the electronic controls for the auto transmission won't be used anyway so that shouldn't matter either.Comment
