    I just put a deposit...

    On this car:

I hope to become a valuable member of this discussion forum. There is no doubt in my mind that this car may be one of the very best original E30 BMW 318iS's on the planet. I have owned an E36, E46, E90, and now I'm coming home with the very best of them all with this E30. Absolutely beyond excited to take possession of this amazing vehicle.

I look forward to your comments, analysis, and critique of this incredible car with such rare provenance. I assure you all that I will take care of this car and own it for a very long time.

Did you pay $26k for that car?

I paid $23,000 for it. Definitely paid a lot, but very few vehicles on the market give me the opportunity to be the second owner with this low of mileage and such history.

Im excited for you. Its almost like a time capsule e30, will be a unique experience for sure.

Personally I would be leaning in the direction of an m3 for that money, but its not my money ;)

I'm inclined to agree. Me, personally, I don't care about ownership history or kms. It's all about 'dat M-badge. I know there's certainly a value to be placed on low-ownership and kms, but $23,000. To me this is like when Mopar cars hit a million dollars and everyone stands back like - WTF.

When you go to pick it up check the paint on the front end, I've had a feeling for a while that enthusiast auto might be repainting cars.

I would like an interior that clean.

Definitely toyed with the M3 variant, but I'm slightly more into newness and low miles. I had a E36 318 as my first car, so there's a slight bit of re-living that. I remember the noise of that car cranking over like it was yesterday, and I haven't owned that car in 12 years.

Thank you though. It'll be a unique experience because it's so new and an untouched snapshot of a bygone era.
