^If that data existed... you wouldn't be seeing e30's going to the junk yards at auctions as you say.

And, unlike you, I am willing to hear your position. For example, I don't disagree the e30 may be in a bubble at the moment. There is no way of knowing whether it is... or isn't. Again... no data to reference. But as with anything, the market value for something in a bubble... is still market value at that time.

So again, e30 values are rising... and have been since before 2010. Not sure how long you have been in the e30 scene/market... but having experienced it since the late 90's we are definitely seeing a rise in both demand and prices.

BTW, forums are probably the most accurate way to establish pricing for enthusiast cars. That's why no one selling one sites NADA or KBB values.

$25k. I'm sorry there's just no justification for that, no matter how you swing it. You could totally do a ground up restoration on an absolute shit box for half the price and pay someone else to do it. E30's are not quite in the realm of low mileage/numbers matching/100% original = insane value. Sorry just because a car doesn't depreciate, doesn't make it smart to overpay for it. I guarantee we'll all be old men by the time the going rate for an e30 is $25k, that's if its even in our lifetime.
I want a nice set of smoked MHW's (I know, get it line)

Wow. This goddam thread is still going? How could anyone get into a web pissing match about what (key words) someone else paid for a car. I guess it's because you care for the buyer and future buyers and wish them the best price possible. No. Wait. That's not it. It's the fact that you're a bunch of jealous little bitches who can't afford to spend that kind of cash on a car that you want, so you shit on others for being financially well off enough to do so. How's that working for ya?

edit: Sometimes I'm grumpy in the morning. It makes me extra honest.
