Bad ass pressure washer at work. Can I wash a GETRAG 260 in there?

My new brand used transmission has 20 years of oil and dirt on it. It needs to be cleaned. Im thinking the trans is pretty water proof and can be washed. What do you guys think?

Id just try and avoid the seals, ive done it before, but i checked for water inside afterwords too.

seal the breather on top if you must. Id personally do it with degreaser and brushes

I used a pressure washer on my G240...cleaned it up real nice...i did plug the breather and i was replacing the seals, other than that i left it outside in the sun for a day with the plugs open in case there was any water residue inside

Getrag designed the trans in a way that any water sprayed at it is reflected directly at your face.

Stuff works great, but etches the shit out of aluminum. So be careful with how long you leave it on.

so does Simple Green, but its a trans, some etching wont hurt, now using it on a set of polished RS's, to the stocks with you!!

I pressure wash differentials quite often and even without the breather plugged water never gets in there. Leave the fluid in the trans and drain it after you pressure wash it, inspecting it for water in there.
