Yeah the conversion really isnt cheap.... I'd vote against it, but then again, I'm more of performance over looks kind of deal. For the money you get the SR, and if you already have the SR, then you get a ridiculously sick suspension setup, a 5 lug swap with 300zx brakes and whatnot.

I would do the motor swap first, or rebuild the KA. A KA turbo can be a real good power maker just as long as it isn't too high mileage. But that auto tranny will hurt you too.

If you need any parts my buddy has a bunch of motor parts he'll sell for pretty cheap if you can't find them.

you can do the S15 swap for around 1000 bucks, it's just a matter of looking. My friend found a company he could get it from but I"ll have to ask him where it was. the swap requires modifications for the S13 models but not the S14 models.

no it's a real conversion from japan. the whole sheet metal fenders and hood, also comes with the bumper and headlights.

I lot of kits charge about $900 for headlights because they buy them new but you can find the headlights for about 600-650.

Considering that if he fixes the front end for $1000, he's still saving $2k of what s14s usually go for..... $2k of which can be spent in mods.

In the modding sense, he really is saving money.

But if he would just fix it and resell it, he'd probably get $3k out of it.

LOL.. where did I say I was going to do all this tomorrow? Of course I didn't put any of this on a credit card and I plan on paying cash for everything if that's what you're implying. You can spend money and save it at the same time if you know how to budget for things. That's how I saved the money to buy this car to begin with though I would hate to think that $350 would be breaking the bank wide open for you Heeter.

You can't stand to see a post that's not about you or about something you don't have and not hate on it.. We need to give you a new title on R3v.. you can be our official R3V Hater.

That was the other option.. but Tara wants to keep it as her car once it's fixed up. Otherwise I had considered parting it out on eBay which usually always quadruples my ROI.

you want to save, and buy used suspension parts....

and then buy a money pit for $500 shipped

hey, that kinda money is too much for some members to handle, and have to use their grandmother's CC

The only used suspension parts on my car are the springs and struts.. since when did that become a crime. I'm sure I'm not the only member on the forums guilty of buying those parts used.

And as much as I love E30s they are a much bigger money pit than the $500 one I have in the driveway now. Atleast with the 240 I can make more than I spend on it if I were to fix it up to sell.. which is the complete opposite with my E30.

I guessed you missed the part where I bought brand new Lemforder CAs. At the time it seemed like a good idea to spend as little as possible fixing up a $400 daily driver.. *shrugs*
