im back into a old bmw after a few years, im now finished restoring a jaguar etype, and finished a sold a mgb, and now im back to a pile of e30. i have 2 shells, one rusty, one has a love tap up front. I have some suspension parts and thats about it. im thinking about motor swaps, suspension, and whatnot.
so i want a 5 lug swap. i have a e36 m3 sedan i DD, and i want to be able to use my m3 wheels, i have several sets, i dont see the need for me to accumulate another wheel fort. so im thinking or the wider z3 rear trailing arms from a 6 cylinder car. to give about the same wheel clearance my m3 has. and the 5 lug sleeve adapters to fit e36 hubs and brake calipers on the front using teh stock e30 geometry, maybe with e46 arms and camber plates. i need everything so cost isnt a factor here. but i kinda want wide body e30 done up like a groupe 5 e21 or a freeking batmobile. with cut out boxed fenders. i have another chassis to get parts from, and the time, tools and skills to do so. its really a question of if this really is a can of worms im actually interested in.
kinda want a ford 302 swap shoved far back into the firewall and freeking sidepipes too. + stickers, gotta have stickers. maybe a big ass ricer wing too. looking at aftermarket pedal clusters for no booster as well. roll cage, ect. tear down just started, and im checking out both chassis to see witch is straiter, if i can use the hit car, or if i need to cut it up for patch panels for the rusty car
