Was the e21 bad? I drove a minty one in France and was amazed at the performance and style and everything, felt way better than my e30 but then again my e30 feels like crusty grandma compared to some on here I'm sure

dude, you are asking a specific question to a specific crowd. Most honda clowns wouldn't be on this forum unless they had an E30.

    I have four! Four 325iX models. One for each year. One 1988 325iX, one 1989 325iX, one 1990 325iX, and one 1991 325iX.

1x 1988iX -megasquirted and waiting for a few bits for BOOST
    1x 1989iX -439k miles
1x 1990iX -rusty and for sale
    1x 1991iX -super secret project

Still have mine, drive it once or twice a month. Sold my late model, and got an e39 as a daily. Loud exhaust on my commute to work isnt fun anymore. Oh god, am I old?

I'm on #4 - been on and off for the last 5-6 years. I can't stay away though.

Seen many friends buy/sell their E30's. Seen a lot of E30's come and go. My iX has been with me since 08 - always wanted one in highschool and when I found mine I promised to never let it go.

Been stockpiling spare blocks/subframes/diffs/transfercases/whatever I can get my hands on that I see myself needing in the future for the iX. Live by the E30, Die by the E30.

Bought my first e30 while I was stationed in Germany back in 2004, then upped to an e90 in '06... never knew about r3v till a few years ago. Bought my current e30 last year; still have it.

I've been without an E30 for about 2.5 years now....miss it a lot. Became a home owner so that shifted my priorities (and funding) elsewhere but now I am starting to kick around the idea of getting another E30 as a weekend car, not a DD.

Technically yes (84 325e), though it's slowing getting parted out. Driving an E36 M3 now as my fun car.
