    E-mail only. Then you can just hit delete and not deal with your phone buzzing. Once you've figured out someone is a real potential buyer, then you e-mail your phone number to them.

    In the last few weeks I've sold a Toyota Tacoma, a bicycle, and a dining table with chairs all on Craigslist. In every instance I DID NOT include my phone number in the ad. I set it up for e-mail responses only and I worded it with "only e-mails with a phone number will be responded to." With this approach I NEVER got spam, just legit inquiries. I managed to sell all items without any drama or bullshit.
