Cigerette lighter loosey

I have the same problem with my lighter. I need it for my cellphone charger.. or atleast I'd like to know it works in case of an emergency! My dad got so frustrated with his, he just wired in another one.. but I think it's kind of tacky. The wires come out of the side of the console somehow.. he just slides it under his seat, but the wires show. Eh, atleast it works.

i use my cell phone too much for it to last for more than three days, but i accidentally left it at home once while i was out of town for almost 6 days and it wa still on when i got home.

Mine's a Kyocera 2235, I use it often and I only have to plug it in overnight every 3 or 4 days. Maybe your phone has battery problems, Oomph.

this thread isnt about damn cell phone batteries, its about the cig. lighter. my phone last for at least two days, even though thats not the issue.

I've been trying to figure out what I'm going to do when I remove the ash tray and put in my gauge panel. I think I might hardwire a charger to the car and just have a chord under the seat or something.

I don't plug my cell phone in in my car, b/c it stays charged for 4-5 days on end .

What the hell? What kind of phone do you have?

my motorola i only charge on the weekends... stays charged all week without problem... i only talk about 300 minutes a month on it tho so it dont use it much.. btw since i could car less about a ricey cell i only have the cheapo motorola v60 or 66 or something like that the blue/grey flip phone

basically i threw together some home-made wiring & taped it together beneath the shifter console & ran the wire back to the rear change tray so there's only 6" sticking out... just enough to plug it in & lay it in the tray next to the e-brake 8)

to fix the loosness of the cig lighter, see if there's any metal tabs that are just bent a little so it's not holding it as firm. unskrew the ash tray & open 'er up.... aka, taking it to the "obgyn" ;)
