The new WRX's are great. Well I don't know about the newest, but when they went with the widebody style they all got fast.

When I was looking into my S4 I was also looking at 2012+ WRX's, but decided I would rather have a older more capable (in terms or raw power) car with no note.

I'm seriously digging the new Miata's! Couldn't justify one right now though unless I wanted to sleep with the dog indefinitely.

I bit the bullet on a brand new Mustang GT with the performance package. So impressive and such a steal for the price for what you are getting. 435hp for under 30k? I'm sold.

My buddy just got a brand new wrx, and Ill say that car is a lot of fun! I have noticed the newest wrx's doesn't really have the purring exhaust note everyone loves. He also had the fly wheel replaced already, but he beat the shit out of the car from day one. Warranty is always nice too

fuck. thats an amazing deal. congrats man.

the 5.0 imo is the best car for under 40K. the fact that you got it for less than 30K puts it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond the other cars in the under 30K category.

I was pretty dumbfounded. The performance package was also a no brainer as well. Brembo 6 piston, wheels and summer tires, larger radiator, upgraded suspension, strut brace, and the 3.73 diff for 2500 more. Nothing even comes close to this value-wise. The 370z is still pricey and you don't get much with the base models. I really don't know what would be the next best option. The rc-f looks awesome but I couldn't afford that much more.

Also, the salesman let me start up the gt350 and give it a few revs. It sounds truly ferocious.

for me rn its between a 5.0 and an E60 M5.

I can find a clean manual m5 for between 25-35K.

similar if not cheaper, much better all around car, but of course, the cost of ownership is insaaaanely higher than a new mustang thats under warranty. I gotta weigh out how much its really worth having that v10. I'm irresponsibly leaning towards it being worth it haha. the mustang is a much much more practical purchase though.

Haha I was considering an e92 m3, but the main reason I wanted a car was for zero maintenance. I want to concentrate money to finishing up the e30 and not to fixing the other car. One day I'll have an e92 m3.

exactly. I feel like with the m5 I'll end up replacing this and that right away.
but I wanna use my time finishing the e30, so I'll probably end up in the same responsible "one day" boat as you haha. I just absolutely gotta have that v10 one day though man, and right now they're not too expensive, I feel like they're just gonna start getting more expensive. hopefully I'm wrong.

Ended up picking up a Mini Cooper S. '09 with 6 speed and turbo. This car handles very well from stock form! Kept up right behind my friend Chris' M30 Swapped e30 with full suspension and weight reduction. I've been able to get about 38 mpg on the highway and 32 combined. Still has a warranty for 60k more miles or five years. Also, I was lucky enough to find one with a mechanical LSD which really pulls through turns! I would recommend you test drive one if the chance comes! 9/10 would recommend

LCi comes with N55 engine which is less powerful and not as upgradable.
