Defiantly an AC button with the snow flake, and re circulation print faded off. What it controls, I couldn't tell you. The PO must of re wired something, and used a used AC switch to control the circuit.

No there is already the AC button. Wouldn't explain the noise it makes

The only thing I could think of is to trace the wires back.

since no e30 was built with this, it's obviously a custom mod.

Sorry, we couldn’t find that page

This is a video, not sure if it'll work, but it looks stock. Someone told me it was built in, and he knows quite a lot about BMW's

Hahaha, that's definitely not stock but it is entertaining. I'd guess aftermarket alarm or some weirdo stereo thing.

Okay so the guy I bought the car from said it was a radar detector, that is built in. He said it was behind the grille so I'll check it out, and update you guys. Ahha

Neat! Yeah, from the color, they look like the recirc and A/C buttons-

                    but they're not!

Time to take it apart and see.

Let us know what you find back there.

Yup, it's a radar detector. This is a bad picture, but here it is behind the grille!

That's neat. Surprised he didn't wire laser jammers if he went to that length.
