I'd say closer to 6 or 7... you're better off waiting till the summer though. Most people aren't looking for a convertible this time of year.IG: deniso_nsi Leave me feedback here

There have been a few very for sale on this coast with high asking prices and no movement. Granted this is cleaner but the interior looks cheap and the body looks in need of help. Value is in the saving of an MTECH packaged car. And the weather. We are already in the 50s and frost in the morning. Tough sell here. Better off to wait.
My folks are trying to sell their low mileage SLK and even the dealer is backtracking on it a bit.

5k final price from what I can see. But it ts hard to judge from those pics.Originally posted by Andy.BWhenever I am about to make a particularly questionable decision regarding a worryingly cheap diy solution, I just ask myself, "What would Ether-D do?"

Bmw e30
Thanks for the input. No body work needed. Anyway, I can't imagine selling the car for $3-$5k at all. I think I should just put some blankets over it and forget about it then. Oh I forgot to add that I also spent a ton of money on brakes also. All new discs, pads and rebuilt calipers, brake lines etc.
Anyway, it looks like none of that matters. These are not 2002s I forget. A 2002 in similar condition would be worth 3-4 times more with original paint and no rust with all that new replaced parts etc. As much as I love the 2002 the E30 is way far better car than a 2002 will ever be. Sure the 2002 looks and feels cooler to drive but the e30 to me is absolutely a bridge between the classic clunks and the modern techno gizmos. Too bad they are so under appreciated.

Value of a nice stock 2002
Hank, see that is the problem. Too many people jump on to comment without knowing what is current situation. I know this guy personally and yes he sold his car for $27k+. Not a ebay scam or something.
But then again you are right, a stock beautiful unrestored 2002 is not worth $20k. It's worth atleast $27k.

As of owner of e30 vert, let me give you some inputs.
Bads.
OBC is not a big deal. (Cheap Fix)
Automatic top issue (Decreases the value due to being manual but stills gets the job done. sounds fair.)
As other guys mentioned seats done poorly don't match with interior panels. (Not a huge problem but loses value)
Good
Late model with plastic bumpers
Heated seats.
Paint looks great (atleast in pics)
Crack free dashboard
Clean engine bay.
Overal if car doesn't have any leaks, its worth 6k for that condition. Manuals worth around 7k. Your biggest challenge is to find buyer for automatic e30. I am sure there are people out there who are looking for classic vert with automatic tranny. Its not impossible but harder then selling 5-speed.
Wait for summer time if you want to get around atleast 6k for it. good luckLast edited by aegul44; 10-31-2015, 11:39 AM.
