Aluminium blocked ford 302, with a big stick and four IDF webers.

Brilliantrot 318iS slick top shell.
S62/5 speed ZF.
Everything else the same as the early model.

I'll take a fresh out of the factory version of the first E30 I owned, please. A 1989 325is, Zinnabarot and all the bells and whistles.No swaps, factory options only, thanks.
That one had them all. Maybe I'd pass on the LSD though, that was treacherous.
Pictures of the rust would be too heart-breaking.

My thoughts exactly. But more specifically, one of the larger displacement aluminum block versions. A cammed ls3 would do nicely, with something like an ms4 to keep with the high revving style.
