BEWARE of e30 calypso coupe on boise id CL

Just wanted to inform everyone. I flew to boise id from portland to pick up this car this weekend. The seller claimed it was a good running car with no leaks clean title and superb body and near flawless interior. The original post was advertised as 3k. After I get there I find that it is a REBUILT title, the car was hit in the back and the rear bumper does not fit forrectly, rear valance is broken in multiple places, the front bumper is broken, the car over heats, the seller changed the water pump but no other components. The drivers seat is trashed along with the dash board and door cards have cheesey aftermarket speakers drilled in. The car also needs a minimum csb, guibo, oil pan gasket, power steering pump, rear shock mount, fan clutch to be daily driven. This car did not look anything like the picture and has tons of paint issues. I did not feel safe driving this car back to portland. The seller ALSO promised to pay for my plane ticket home if the car was not everything i wanted. After i told him i was going to pass on the car he got pissed and just drove it away! Epic waste of time. For the right price it's good for someone but not me. The biggest issue is the seller lied about the entire car to get me to waste my time and money flying out there. And he is still trying to advertise it with a clean title!

If you'd like to look at the vehicle history report the vin is WBAAA2312LAE72653

My car looks good right after a wash. I think for that price with the price inflation on e30's you should have kind of figured something was wrong with it especially in that color. But yeah I agree what a waste of time and being lied to sucks.
BTW something like this has happened to me but luckily I didn't go out of state , just 60 miles away.

I know for a fact there is a guy on r3v in Idaho that has a build thread on a late calypso coupe.

Edit: I'm thinking of st1g. This is definitely not his car.

Good for him for adjusting the price and fixing his ad. I've picked up many clean e30s out of state for less than 3k even premium colors. Just wanted to inform everyone because I know I'm not the one on here that searches throughout the country for clean cars. This is the only bad experience I've had. I've talked with this guy on the phone multiple times and he sounded very trustworthy. I normally keep to myself but just feel like something should be said about this guy :D

always be wary of a for sale ad with the ground wet from washing. it means the paint is shit and the seller is trying to lie about it.
