    Most Useful Add On Gauges

Podi.ca is having a 25% off sale on their whole website for Black Friday. Since it will be a great deal, I'm thinking about picking up on of those vent gauges which got me thinking, what are the most useful add on gauges?

For the four gauge version I'm looking at water temp, oil pressure, AFR and oil temp.

What are you guys using / wouldn't want to live without?

    Swapped cars, boosted cars, stock.

Well since the 3 and 4-display are the same price I would get:

    Water temp
    Oil pressure (100psi range)
    Oil temp
Voltz or AFR (personally I would go with AFR because it's fun to know what's going on with your mixture though it's not as detrimental for N/A, but it doesn't include a controller so more $)

Since your swapping an s52, I would say wideband so you can dial it in properly.

      That, and muffler bearing temp.

          You sure it's THIS year?

That Black Friday thread in the Retail section is from 2014. I got all excited about the deal as well, and then realized it was from last November..

I have the podi vent gauge and it's really nice. I have afr, boost, oil temp/oil pressure.

..dammit. I was hoping you wouldn't be, because now, I'm going to have no excuse NOT to buy one.

                        (first world problems.)

To answer OP question, by order of importance:

                        1) Oil Pressure - there's a reason it's always the biggest red light in a race car.
                        2) Water temp/pressure - I have changed to pressure warning light in the race car because when the temp sender gets uncovered it is unpredictable and may not track the overheating accurate (air is a horrible conductor.)
3)AFR - a too lean motor is a dead motor.
                        4) Oil temp - this is usually not as huge of a need on NA, street driven cars, but if you are running boost or racing, this can become rather important. Though, increasing oil temps are gradual and gives you some time to shut the motor down. So it's not a "oh sh*t" moment like the other 3.
