the cost of that restoration is over 100 grand. the good news is that bmw has recognized the desirability of their old cars and are starting to produce nla parts again.

Holy crap, every nut bolt and washer!
The headliner drove me nuts, I hate that type of work.

Unfortunately this was more of a marketing blitz than anything else. Awesome video to watch though.

A number of parts were simply NOS parts and just made made anymore. This is increasingly the case every single day. Go try to buy any number of those parts (strut housings, subframes, trailing arms, steering boxes, 6-fuse box covers, etc.). There is a VERY long way to go if bmw wants to show an honest effort beyond what's shown on camera. There are a couple guys at bmw classic putting in some effort though, we shall see.

And a concours restoration on a 2002 is over a 100k. Know of a couple done to this level in the last couple years.

Man, I loved that. Now I am fired up about working on the Bronzit again.. Though I know I could never do that level of work, but they make it look so frickin' easy!

            Awesome find!
